Rohan Lund Homes has been a pioneer in using green building techniques. We were one of the first companies in MN to use high density foam insulation in all of our homes. This has now become the industry standard for green building. We have always tried to use green products whenever possible and to offer our customers the option of using as many of them as they want. Geo thermal heating and cooling, engineered wood products, energy saving fixtures and appliances, and low VOC paint and carpet are just a few of the green products and techniques that we employ.

This beautiful farm style house was designed to take advantage of the wonderful 17 acre site that it sits on in Elko, MN and to be a true family home for the owners and their children. It features timeless architecture as well as unique features. From the bright sun room and screen porch to the children’s study area to the 2 private offices to the built-in wood burning pizza oven there are special features designed to allow the owners to get the most enjoyment and usefulness from their home.

This home also has many green features including geo-thermal heating and cooling with in-floor heat, high density insulation, energy efficient appliances, and green building materials. Special attention was also given to grading and drainage to minimize water runoff. It was a wonderful experience to be allowed to help this family build their dream home.
